KENT JOHNSON

We are pleased to announce that, with the generous aid of advance subscribers, Punch Press has met the cost of production for Kent Johnson's Question Mark. The tentative date of completion for this title is October 15, 2010 and subscribers should expect to receive their copies no later than October 25. Otherwise, each copy in this initial run of 100 has been accounted for.

The initial call for advance subscription appears below. Our heartfelt gratitude to everyone that made the appearance of this title possible.

While Punch Press has always been reluctant to disclose print run quantities, we are presently preparing to bring out Kent Johnson's critical novella A Question Mark Above the Sun in an edition of 100 copies. In order to maintain a level of quality commensurate with previous Punch Press publications, we are requesting that this book be ordered in advance to subsidize production.

The cost of this title is $20.00 for US readers and $30 for readers abroad. These prices are calculated strictly to cover the cost of production and postage-that is, these prices DO NOT include labor (i.e. editing, formatting, printing, assembling, packaging). The production cost of the cover for this title, which is pictured above and has already been printed, was approximately $450.00. The estimate for the book itself (not including the cover ) is $948.00.

Gratitude will be extended to all advance subscribers on a subscription page that precedes the title page and mentions subscribers by name, if they are not opposed. For those subscribers that wish to remain anonymous, please indicate this.
